What is an OGR?

OGR is an acronym for Old Garden Roses. OGRs desribes the classes of roses that existed before the introduction of modern hybrid tea and floribunda roses. According to the American Rose Society, the first "modern" hybrid tea rose is 'La France', introduced in 1867.
