Thanks ya'll for all the great comments! The sunflower thing is whats left of a feeder I bought about 10 years ago. Need to repair it. My grill- we got a new one so... can't throw anything away so I just made it into a ??? yard art??? My doggie wanted in the pic so... My pink totem and lots of the others were made with TS finds plus stuff I had around the house. When I found this forum, I started looking around my house and... Well, as you can see... My mother was the creative one. She did ceramics. The pic with the big pinkish rock is her Fairy Garden that I made in her memory. She loved angels, fairies, flowers, and rocks. I found a place that made plaques on line and took off. My apple tree is looking sad but I'm keeping it until it passes away to "Tree Heaven". We have so few trees because of the danged 'ole power lines that run right in the middle of my backyard. I don't plant many flowers in my backyard because it's very hard to keep the grass out. That's why I didn't plant against the wood fence. I get the color from 'shrooms, balls, and totems. I have a lot of container plants i.e. roses even tomatoes and peppers. We also have a raised vegetable bed in the summer. Thanks again ya'll. I get so much pleasure from my colorful glass and pottery garden. Love you all! Thank you for the ideas. I love the thought of using them as lighting. I found flickering battery operated tea lights at the Dollar Store and they fit inside about 1/2 way down. I might try to see if copper piping fits (I have some hanging around in the garage and using them as lights in the garden or in my planters. It's great to have a place to share ideas. WOW! Double WOW! Triple WOW! Your place must look incredible at night. I love it all. Spooky, but not gory. I used to talk about this a lot with my second graders - how much FUN it is to be "pretend scared" and shiver when you read a Halloween story, but not REALLY be scared. Nice savings on the mantel scarf. I've been looking at them for a couple of years now, but didn't buy one because of the price. Even thought of sewing my own. Never occurred to me to adapt something else. DUH! I'm going to have to go on a shopping spree now. Do tell about the art work. Love the ghost mirror/painting in the first picture (same technique for the skull picture?). How'd you do that? Looks like you used garbage bags - or did you wrap them in the scary cloth? I did a "cute" ghost (Martha Stewart idea) on the bathroom mirror, but like your style better. Give directions, please. Those witches stocking boots are bigger than I imagined. That's another idea I'm going to have to copy. BOO!

We eat only New England diver scallops. They are better scallops (less gritty, not water logged, and perfect size for both sweetness & presentation). The really big reason for using only diver scallops though is because the majority of the scallops on the market are harvested by boats that drag heavy chain sweeps across the ocean floor. Diver scallops are a much more ecologically friendly way of harvesting scallops & helps maintain the ocean's harvest balance. Man will destroy the ocean's abundance, if allowed, IMO. Look for diver scallops, they really are better. Also watch for Chinese scallops. IMO, I would insist on North Atlantic sea scallops (Gulf of Maine & Canadian Maritimes). Scallops that are without any additives are called "dry packed" while scallops that are treated with sodium tripolyphosphate (STP) are called "wet packed". STP causes the scallops to absorb moisture prior to the freezing process, thereby getting a better price per unit of weight. The freezing process takes about two days. You can see the difference immediately at your fish monger's. Dry scallops are just as it sounds...dry. The others are gloppy looking & quite disgusting. /tricia
