Liners - generic term for any plants used to grow on to a larger size, usually refers to rooted cuttings, either in containers or planted into ground for future sales.
Plug - specific type of liner grown in a tray division, often from seed. A try contains a specific number of individual plant units, 72, 36, 125, etc.
Bareroot - a third common form that wholesale plants arrive in for further processing.
